Chanakya In Daily Life

Chanakya In Daily Life
By Sir Radhakrishnan Pallai

About the author:

Sir Radhakrishnan Pallai is the best-selling author of corporate Chanakya, among many. He is revered across the country not only as an author but also as a motivational speaker. This book is highly anticipated by all his followers as it is the first one that covers topics outside of one’s professional life and has a holistic towards helping the readers tackle problems that they face on every front. He has researched Kautilya's Arthashastra extensively and has a Master's degree in Sanskrit. He is the Deputy Director of the Chanakya International Institute of Leadership Studies (CIILS), University of Mumbai.

‘In life, one will have many ups and downs, highs and lows. But if one learns to be grateful, then one will always find happiness.’

About the book:

Those who don’t know about Chanakya let me give you a brief introduction, he was one of the greatest thinkers India has produced. He was the master of all subjects such as economics, politics, military, strategies, law, taxation and the list goes on.

In this book, Chanakya in daily life is divided into three parts:-
1.      Part 1- Chanakya in personal life.
2.      Part 2- Chanakya in professional life.
3.      Part 3- Chanakya in family life.

According to the author, all of us play these roles simultaneously every day we have a personal life (only known to us), professional life(involving our work), and family life the part of our life where we get maximum happiness or sadness from while dealing with our family members. Balancing these three roles is challenging for an individual.
Author decodes and simplifies the visionary kingmaker Chanakya’s teaching from Arthashastra and Chanakya Niti to provide solutions for any problem that might crop up in any aspect of life.

On a personal level, one wants to exercise his freedom of choice. But not weighing the impact of his choices on his professional and family life can put him in trouble. He may be labeled a rebel.
Individually, the person may be a path breaker, but he might end up being disharmonious while working with teams.

At a professional level, one may be super successful, have a lot of money, power, position but he may be frustrated by the feeling that he could have done better. Probably there is a sense of incompleteness. Alternatively, he may think that by keeping his family financially well off he has done his duty towards them. But later he may realize that all his family wanted is to spend more time with him only. But by the time he realizes it would probably be too late.

At a family level, one may be an excellent parent and family member. Yet one might have thoughts like what did I do for myself? There is a sense of frustration one might feel when he sees his siblings better than himself.

This book addresses all these three aspects of life. This book gives us a practical route for the same.

Conclusion:
According to me, this book is great for everyone let it be a student, working professionals, or as well as married guys. This book is full of practical routes if followed properly we can learn various things about our life. Thus, Chanakya in daily life is the perfect guru who excepts only one thing from the shishya a willingness to learn.
